Description
- Thin wall power sockets have small outside diameters like hand tool sockets.
- They cannot be expected to stand up to the same high loads as normal impact sockets
- and should only be used when limited clearance is a factor.
- How thin can the walls be? The absolute limit is the circle circumscribing the square or the hexagon.
- Multiply the A/F size by 1,155 or the internal square by 1,414 to get the circumscribing circle.
- A socket with 19 mm across flats and an outside diameter of 24 mm would have 1 mm thick walls. That is not much
